Summary
SpaceX said Japanese entrepreneur Yusaku Maezawa had named the dearMoon crew: ten people, counting two backups, to join him on a week-long Starship flight around the Moon, passing within 200 kilometers of the surface. The company called them the first people Starship would launch. More than one million applicants from 249 countries and regions were cited. The crew is described as artists, creators, and athletes. No launch date appears in the post.
This follows the March 2021 application opening. A later post puts a different commercial lunar crew, the Titos, after dearMoon and after Polaris’s first Starship flight. None of those flights is reported as completed in this archive.

Why it matters
dearMoon is the commercial lunar counterpart to the NASA HLS lander, and it is still a plan in this post. The applicant count is a company figure about interest, not a trained crew.
