Summary

SpaceX said it was targeting no earlier than the fourth quarter of 2021 for Inspiration4, which it called the first all-commercial astronaut mission to orbit, from Kennedy LC-39A. Jared Isaacman, founder of Shift4 Payments, would command and was donating the other three seats; those people had not been named. Training would cover the rocket, the spacecraft, orbital mechanics, microgravity, emergencies, suits, and simulations. The flight was described as several days, with an orbit about every 90 minutes on a custom path, and a splashdown off Florida. The flown result is the September 18 splashdown.
