Summary

SpaceX relayed Vast’s announcement: Falcon 9 would launch Haven-1, described as a free-flying commercial station that could later join a larger Vast station, no earlier than August 2025. After that, Falcon 9 would launch Vast-1, a four-person Dragon, to dock for up to 30 days. Vast held an option for a second crewed visit. The crew had not been named. Training would cover Falcon 9, Dragon, emergencies, suits, and docking simulations.

The long-range Vast goal in the post is a 100-meter spinning station launched by Starship, plus a first commercial artificial-gravity experiment on Haven-1. Both are Vast’s plans as SpaceX reported them, not Starship payloads under contract in this note.

Why it matters

Commercial stations sit beside the ISS crew work in the SpaceX story. This page records the target as it was stated in 2023. A “no earlier than” date is not a launch.
